MARCH OF THE ECOLOGISTS - FOR THE LOVE OF THE ENVIRONMENT

Venue: The route was: high school- Mihai Viteazul Street- Church Street- City Hall of Întorsura Buzăului and return.

Need that the reported initiative meets:

To draw the attention of the community and local authorities that there is a greater need for involvement in actions beneficial to the environment.

Activity description:

First, 4 classes of students- IX A, B, XC, XI C made materials for the march: posters, banners, placards, boards etc.

We notified the police and local authorities that we were going to march.

We set off along the above-mentioned streets and did not stop at the town hall of Întorsura Buzăului where we were welcomed by the mayor, Raul Urdă and the environmental inspector, Razvan Bularca. We presented our objectives and asked them to tell us what is being done concretely at the level of the UAT of Întorsura Buzăului to protect the environment.

We found out that the town hall is very involved in environmental issues and acts in this sense: bins for selective collection have been purchased, outdoor spaces are constantly sanitized, trees and shrubs are planted, etc.

Unfortunately, the weather did not allow us to linger any longer, a torrential downpour led us to quickly return to the school.

Results:

We offered our support to participate in the actions of the City Hall of Întorsura Buzăului: greening, sanitizing, planting, other voluntary actions in favor of the environment.

The LTME-ist Eco-ambassadors want to draw the attention of the community that THE PLANET IS OUR HOME and we must take care of it!

Local authorities in our town have made major progress in protecting the environment and support our efforts.

We also have solutions:

• Selective waste collection
• Keep clean
• Sanitize
• Planting (trees, flowers, shrubs, etc)
• Identify renewable energy sources
• Promote Circular Economy
• Don't waste food
• Don't waste water

Special guests: the Mayor, the Environmental Inspector.

Proposed objectives:

💚Awareness of the importance of protecting the environment

💚 To involve young people in environmental actions

💚 "Alerting" local authorities to climate change causing environmental disasters with major impact on our planet.
